Getting started
How long does it take to write a resume in Resume Architect?
For most people, the first draft takes about thirty to forty-five minutes. You can paste in an existing resume or LinkedIn export to skip the typing and start refining instead.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Resume Architect runs in your browser. There is nothing to download, and your work is saved as you type.
Can I use it on my phone?
You can read, review, and make small edits comfortably on a phone. The editor is most pleasant to use on a tablet or laptop because of the live PDF preview.
Writing and editing
Does Resume Architect write the resume for me?
No, and on purpose. It helps you rewrite bullets you select, sharpen verbs, find cleaner phrasings, and catch dead lines - but it will not invent jobs, metrics, or skills you do not have. The line between editor and fabricator is the line the product is built around.
Will my resume sound like everyone else who uses a resume tool?
It should not. The suggestions are scoped to the bullets you accept and the structure you choose. You stay the author throughout. The tooling is there to loosen writer’s block, not to replace your voice.
Can I write in a language other than English?
Yes. The editor works in any language, and you can mix languages on the same resume if a role asks for it.
ATS and applications
Is the output ATS-friendly?
Yes. The resume renders cleanly to text and avoids design tricks that confuse parsers - no images of text, no two-column tricks that lose order, no obscure fonts.
How does the ATS score work?
You paste the job description. Resume Architect scores how closely your resume matches across keywords, phrasing, and structure, and shows specific suggestions you can apply or ignore.
Will it submit applications for me?
No. The job application tracker is for you to log and follow up on roles you apply to manually. We do not auto-submit applications.
Account and data
Where is my data stored?
In our managed database, encrypted at rest. See the security page for the longer answer.
Do you use my resume to train models?
No. Your resume content is not used to train any external model and is not shared with third parties for that purpose.
How do I delete my account?
From account settings, with one button. It permanently removes your resumes, cover letters, references, tracker history, and account record.
Billing
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancellation is one click from your account settings. Your documents remain in read-only mode after cancellation so you do not lose anything.
Do you offer refunds?
Every account starts with a 2-day free trial - cancel before it ends and you will not be charged. After the trial, monthly charges are not refunded, but cancellation stops further billing immediately.
Is there a discount for students or career changers?
Yes. Write to [email protected] from a student email or with a brief note and we will send a discount code.
